Valentine Requests
The Garden of Cedar is pleased to take your Valentine requests. To request your personal Valentine to be “planted” in the Garden click the link below, fill out the information needed, and press “Submit”. It’s that simple! Valentines are free, but you can make a donation if you wish. Just follow the instructions. The supply of Valentines is limited, so please get your requests in ASAP!


Who Are We?
Garden of Cedar is a vibrant community garden located in the South Side neighborhood of Scranton, Pennsylvania. It is a welcoming space where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together to grow fresh produce, learn about gardening, and connect with their neighbors.

At Garden of Cedar, we believe that everyone should have access to fresh, healthy food.
That’s why we are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive space where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together to learn about gardening, grow their own food, connect with their neighbors and the community year-round.


The History of Garden of Cedar
Garden of Cedar was founded in 2018 by Frank Dubas, a native of Scranton, Pennsylvania who had a vision to create a community garden. He purchased a vacant lot on Cedar Avenue in Scranton’s South Side neighborhood and began transforming it into a beautiful and productive garden. Construction began in the fall of 2022 and the opening ceremony took place on Saturday, June 3, 2023.
